On the 12th of May 2022, Junior High Students of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia – Cibubur, had their first intercultural exchange session with the students from Ritsumeikan Keisho Junior & Senior High School. Through Zoom platform, the students met online for the first time and had the opportunity to share their interests and discuss the unique cultures from both countries. It was a wonderful and rewarding experience for the students, to practise their communication skills and develop appreciation towards diversity. The second session will be held on the 24th of May 2022. We’re looking forward to sharing our stories and experiences again with our new friends.
Let’s have a look at some opinions from the students who participated in the first session.
“I was so happy to see the atmosphere from another school in another country. The students and teachers from Ritsumeikan Keisho Junior & Senior High School are really nice and they were enthusiastic to present about their school and culture. I hope this programme can continue and Sekolah Pilar Indonesia can collaborate with other schools too.” (Abhin, Grade 8)
