Joshua Aditya, S.T., 2014 SPI Alumnus

“My time at SPI provided me with a solid foundation in both technical and soft skills.”

Upon graduating in 2014, I pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Universitas Tarumanagara. Currently, I work as a project engineer on a construction site in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. One of my most cherished school experiences was the student exchange programme in Adelaide, Australia. Living with a host family for two weeks was an unforgettable experience. Studying abroad opened my eyes to different cultures, languages, and ways of life, broadening my perspective and providing me with the opportunity to meet new people from around the globe. I learnt to be more responsible and independent by managing my time, budget, and well-being, which aligned perfectly with SPI’s vision of fostering independent, highly principled individuals who appreciate diversity.
Another highlight was the Student-Led Conference. I prepared for the event by compiling a portfolio showcasing my best work, which I then presented to my parents and teachers. This experience enhanced my self-confidence and communication skills, allowing me to share my challenges and aspirations for future growth.”
