Grade 2 students measured the length of their shadow every hour. They made their results into a graph. This activity was integrated with maths and English. We learned to write a procedure in English. We did it with our patner. Here is an example of our procedure writing. How Long is a shadow ?

Evidence of past civilizations can be used to make connections to present day societies. That is the central idea of the unit we recently explored under the transdisciplinary theme “Where We Are in Place and Time”. During our exploration, we inquired into past civilizations from Indonesia, as well as from other countries, such as Greece and Rome, and tried to see the connections with the modern day societies.
